GPS requires the installed/HTTPS version of this app. Once installed, it continues to work offline.
Optional online field tools
The app still works fully offline. When connected, you can use short voice-to-text dictation and automatically obtain a what3words address from a one-off GPS fix. Intermediate-point GPS is activated only when you explicitly press Get what3words online and stops after that fix.
The key is stored only in this app on this device. It is not included in measurement JSON/CSV/PDF exports.
Online what3words coordinate conversion requires a what3words API plan that includes coordinate-to-3-word conversion. If unavailable, use Open what3words + Paste what3words instead.

Pre-measurement bicycle calibration
Choose the actual number of digits on your counter. This matters when the counter rolls through zero.
Five significant figures means, for example, 11,923.5009 becomes 11,924 — it is not rounded to a multiple of 5 counts.
Temperature is recorded only. The app does not apply a temperature formula to bicycle counts. The raw calibration constant is counts/km before SCPF. The working constant includes the selected SCPF; the rounded value is the field constant used for kilometre/mile target counts. During measurement the app shows both official SCPF distance and raw calibrated physical distance so the two cannot be confused.

Course measurement

Filled from GPS altitude when the phone supplies it; it can also be entered or corrected manually.
Optional. In the field, simply take the photograph and move on. You can annotate it later at home; the original unannotated image is retained. The annotation tools include a green start line.
Position 1
Suggested automatically from the point type and distance; you can overwrite it. Tap the box to use the large offline text keyboard.
At kilometre and mile points the app automatically inserts the expected Jones reading. Check the physical counter, then Confirm expected reading. If it differs, use Overwrite reading and enter the actual whole-number counter value.
The Take photo button requests the rear/outward-facing camera. For faster fieldwork, save the photograph without editing it. After the measurement, open the saved position and annotate the photo at home. The original is retained.
Uses the same large keypad and accepts whole numbers only.
Accumulated counts and distance are one continuous course measurement from START. Every saved Jones reading adds only the counts since the previous saved point (or the current section-start reading). Kilometre and mile markers are separate target/check sequences only: they never replace or re-anchor the actual accumulated counts or distance. Counts since the previous saved point remain available as a separate audit figure.

Add these when you reach the finish. You can annotate them later at home, including with the scalable black-and-white checkered finish line; the original image is retained.

Certification report details
These fields follow the information requested in the AIMS / World Athletics standard report forms. They also make the report suitable for a detailed AUKCM submission. Details such as the county and straight-line start/finish separation can be completed after the field measurement. Leave genuinely non-applicable items marked N/A rather than silently omitting them.
Application for certification
This remains editable after the measurement. You may enter the value manually or calculate an approximate straight-line value from the recorded GPS coordinates.

You can attach image files or PDF documents. Images can be shown in the generated measurement report. PDF files are stored with the saved calibration course, included unchanged in JSON/ZIP backups, and listed in the report as supporting calibration-course documents.

Course map and report photographs
The map should define the route, road names, available road width/restrictions, start, finish and any turnaround points clearly enough for another measurer to reproduce the course.
Save, check and export
The PDF button downloads the report directly as a PDF file and does not open the print screen. Version 1.32 keeps the established calibration constant and Jones Counter rules unchanged. START is now automatically treated as recorded Position 1 in the saved-position display and PDF report; subsequent measured points are Position 2 onward. Actual accumulated counts and distance still follow one continuous Jones Counter sequence from START; kilometre and mile markers remain independent target/check sequences. For kilometre and mile points, the expected Jones reading is automatically inserted for quick confirmation, with an explicit overwrite option. Voice dictation retains automatic sentence capitalisation. Saved calibration courses can now be reused as defaults while remaining fully overridable for each measurement. Full JSON backups include the saved calibration-course library. The professional PDF, what3words layout and protected photo-page layout are retained.
